Mode of Action
Mitimax
is a broad-spectrum acaricide and it controls both the motile
stages of mites. Mitimax acts primarily by direct contact, residual
contact and vapour action, hence no residue is left over on plant.
Mitimax has not shown cross-resistance in spite of prolonged and
continuous use.
Mitimax interferes with the key mite enzymes systems, which causes
interruption of normal metabolism, respiration and electron transport
functions in the nervous system of mites. Mitimax kills nymph
as they emerges from eggs, which are laid before the spray. Female
mite stops laying eggs immediately after coming in contact with
Mitimax.
